Jarrin Solomon
Jarrin Solomon (born 11 January 1986) is a Trinidadian track and field sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres. He was part of the Trinidad and Tobago team that won the bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Solomon also competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, where his 4 × 400 m team again won the bronze medal. He was also part of Trinidad and Tobago's 2014 Commonwealth Games 4 x 400 team, where they also won a bronze. His personal best on the 400 m track is 44.98 s, set in 2014. Solomon is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, where he attended La Cueva High School and the University of New Mexico. His father, Mike Solomon, is from Trinidad and was also a 400 m sprinter. La Cueva High School
La Cueva High School is a public high school located in northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, within the Albuquerque Public Schools District. Its mascot is the Bears. The La Cueva feeder schools include Desert Ridge Middle School, Desert Ridge, Madison, and Eisenhower middle schools; and Dennis Chavez, Double Eagle, E. G. 2014 IAAF World Relays
The 2014 IAAF World Relays were held in May 2014 in Nassau, Bahamas. The event was the first edition of the IAAF World Relays. There were five events for each gender. In men's and women's 4 x 100 metres and 4 x 400 metres, the event served as a qualification event for the 2015 World Championships in Athletics. IAAF World Relays
The World Athletics Relays, known as the ''IAAF World Relays'' until 2019, is an international biennial track and field sporting event held by World Athletics where teams from around the world compete in relay races, some of which are not part of the standard Olympic programme. The first three editions were set to take place in Nassau, Bahamas at the Thomas Robinson Stadium in 2014, 2015 and 2017. Originally intended as an annual event, it was later decided to happen every odd year, the same as the World Athletics Championships for which it serves as a qualification stage. The men's 4 x 400 metres sprint competition of the athletics events at the 2015 Pan American Games will take place between the 24 and 25 of July at the CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium. The defending Pan American Games champions are Noel Ruíz, Raidel Acea, Omar Cisneros, William Collazo, Júnior Díaz, Amaurys Valle and Amaurys Valle of Cuba. Prior to the final, Cuba was disqualified for a registration violation (not naming their athletes before the deadline). Cuba ran in the final under protest and finished in second place. The disqualification was upheld and their result was removed. Later that was corrected and Cuba was reinstated as the silver medalists.
