Jarmo Kuusisto
Jarmo Kuusisto (born April 5, 1961) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman. Kuusisto played a total of 714 games in the Liiga, SM-Liiga, 696 games for Lukko and 18 for Porin Ässät (men's ice hockey), Ässät. In the 1990–91 SM-liiga season, he won the Juha Rantasila Trophy for scoring the most goals by a defenceman with 16. He also played in France's Ligue Magnus, Élite Ligue for Brest Albatros Hockey and Drakkars de Caen, Sweden's Swedish Hockey League, Elitserien for AIK IF and Denmark's Metal Ligaen, Codan Ligan for the Herning Blue Fox. Kuusisto played for the Finland men's national ice hockey team, Finland national team in the 1987 Ice Hockey World Championships, 1987, 1989 Ice Hockey World Championships, 1989 and 1990 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships, 1990 Ice Hockey World Championships. Uusikaupunki (; sv, Nystad, ) is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southwest Finland region, northwest of Turku and south of Pori. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is inland water. The population density is . The municipality is unilingually Finnish. Both its Finnish and Swedish names translate literally to "new town". The original name of the main village that was incorporated into Uusikaupunki was Kalainen (roughly translated from Finnish as "rich in fish"). The surrounding region, and especially the neighboring town of Kalanti, which merged with Uusikaupunki in 1993, was already a lively marketplace for wooden objects and salt in the early Middle Ages.
