Jarius Holmes
Jarius Holmes (born March 26, 1986 in Japan) is an American soccer player, currently playing for St. Louis Lions in the USL Premier Development League. Career Youth and amateur Holmes grew up in Shiloh, Illinois, attended O'Fallon Township High School, and played college soccer at McKendree University and at Southwestern Illinois College. While at McKendree, he was two-time All-Conference selection and was named American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2006. He was the first McKendree University player to sign a professional outdoor soccer contract. During his college years, Holmes also played with the St. Louis Lions in the USL Premier Development League, and with local St. Louis amateur club, Fortels (FSC). Professional Holmes joined the USL First Division expansion franchise Austin Aztex in 2009. He made his professional debut on April 18, 2009, in Austin's USL1 season opener against Minnesota Thunder. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004. Minnesota Thunder was an American professional soccer team based in Minnesota, United States. Founded in 1990, the team played in the USL First Division (USL-1), the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2009. The team played its home games at the National Sports Center in nearby Blaine, Minnesota for its final two seasons. The team's colors were navy blue, light blue, silver, and white. The Austin Aztex were a soccer team based in Austin, Texas, United States. Founded in 2011 as a member of the Premier Development League, the team played the 2015 season in the United Soccer League, the second tier of the United States soccer pyramid. This was the second team to carry the name Austin Aztex; the first were founded in 2008 and relocated to Orlando in 2010, with that ownership group eventually being awarded an MLS franchise of the same name in that city. O'Fallon Township High School is a public secondary school in O'Fallon, Illinois. In 2009, OTHS was ranked 49th out of the top 100 high schools in Illinois by the ''Chicago Sun Times''.
