Bayside Shakedown (film)
, known internationally as ''Bayside Shakedown'', is a 1998 Japanese film. The film was adapted from the 1997 television series ''Bayside Shakedown''. Plot The film continues a few months after the end of the TV series. The main character Detective Sergeant Shunsaku Aoshima has worked his way back up into the investigative division of the Wangan Precinct of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, after being demoted back to patrol duty for insubordination. Shortly after the movie begins, a body is found floating in a river near the edge of the precinct's jurisdiction. However, in the spirit of the series, the main concern of the officers on the scene is getting to the body before their counterparts from the other precinct on the other side of the river get to it. The scene eventually degenerates into a cross-river shouting match over bullhorns between the officers from the two precincts. (born June 10, 1977) also known as is a Japanese actress and pop singer. Personal life Matsu was born to a family of buyō and kabuki actors, including her father Matsumoto Hakuō II, her mother and businesswoman Noriko Fujima, her uncle, Nakamura Kichiemon II, her elder brother Matsumoto Kōshirō X, her sister Kio Matsumoto, and stage director Kazuhisa Kawahara. Masahiro Motoki
Masahiro Motoki (本木 雅弘 ''Motoki Masahiro'', born December 21, 1965) is a Japanese actor. He portrayed protagonist Daigo Kobayashi in '' Departures'', which won the 81st Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film. His performance earned him the Award for Best Actor at the 2009 Asia Pacific Screen Awards, at the 3rd Asian Film Awards and at the 32nd Japan Academy Prize. Career Motoki started his entertainment career as a member of boy band (the name of the band contains a portmanteau of and , a homonym of ). The Bird People In China
is a 1998 Japanese comedy-drama film directed by Takashi Miike from a screenplay by his frequent collaborator Masa Nakamura. The film is considerably more mellow in tone compared to some of the director's more famous works. Plot When Mr. Okamura is hospitalized for a hernia, a young Japanese businessman named Mr. Wada is sent as his replacement to assess a vein of jade in a remote village in Yunnan, China. His Chinese guide Mr. Shen does not speak English well but can speak Japanese. Kiichi Nakai
is a Japanese actor. His name was given by Yasujirō Ozu. His father, Keiji Sada, also a movie actor, died when Nakai was only two years old. Nakai started his acting career while he was still in university and was awarded the Rookie of the Year at the Japan Academy Awards in 1981. He won the Japan Academy Best Supporting Actor award in 1994 (for ''47 Ronin'') and Best Actor award in 2003 (for '' Mibu gishi den'' (''When the Last Sword is Drawn'')).
