Japan Animator Expo
is a weekly series of original net animations released as part of a collaboration between Hideaki Anno's Studio Khara and Dwango, consisting of various anime shorts produced by many directors. The project began release from 7 November 2014 and is streamed worldwide on Niconico. As of December 2018, the website and all materials related to it have been temporarily closed off to the public. They make mention of reuploading this content at a later date under a new domain. Production The project was first announced by Hideaki Anno at the Tokyo International Film Festival. The project is designed to offer new animators more exposure to a worldwide audience. The project's logo was designed by Hayao Miyazaki. Ōtarō Maijō
is a Japanese novelist from Fukui Prefecture. Winner of the 19th Mephisto Prize for ''Smoke, Soil, and Sacrifices'', and the 16th Mishima Yukio Prize for ''Asura Girl''. His short story, "Drill Hole in the Brain" was translated into English as part of Del Rey's ''Faust'' anthology, and described by the Anime News Network as the "crowning glory" of the anthology. Style Many of Maijō's novels are set in Fukui and make extensive use of that dialect. He is known for an aggressive, colloquial writing style. Original Net Animation
An original net animation (ONA), known in Japan as , is an anime that is directly released onto the Internet. ONAs may also have been aired on television if they were first directly released on the Internet. The name mirrors original video animation, a term that has been used in the anime industry for straight-to-video animation since the early 1980s. The Internet is a relatively new outlet for animation distribution that has been made viable by the increasing number of streaming media websites in Japan. A growing number of trailers and preview episodes of new anime have been released as ONA. For example, the anime movie of '' Megumi'' can be considered an ONA. ONAs have the tendency to be shorter than traditional anime titles, sometimes running only a few minutes. Studio Colorido
is a Japanese animation studio subsidiary of Twin Engine. History The company was established by producer Hideo Uda in 2011. The studio follows a principle of "making a place where people involved in anime can continue to work peacefully and to contribute to the further development of Japanese animation culture". The "Colorido" in the studio's name translates to "rich in color" or "colorful" in Portuguese and Spanish. Shirō Sagisu
is a Japanese composer, arranger and music producer. With a career spanning over 40 years (beginning in the late 1970s), he is best known for his works as a record producer for acts including various choir members Mike Wyzgowski, Misia, Satoshi Tomiie, and Ken Hirai. Sagisu has also worked as a film composer for several anime and films and is well known for his collaborations with Gainax, especially the soundtrack to Hideaki Anno's series ''Neon Genesis Evangelion''.
