Jannabi (band)
Jannabi (; stylized in all caps or JANNABI) is a South Korean indie rock band that was formed in 2012 and debuted in 2014 under the independent record label Peponi Music, whose core membership consisted of vocalist Choi Jung-hoon and guitarist Kim Do-hyung. Originally a quintet, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with Choi and Kim remaining the only constant members since its inception. Currently, the duo expanded to include session musicians. They are recognized for their live performances and self-produced songs infused with Korean lyricism. Though their sound has diversified throughout their career, their music is characterized by a fusion of pop, classical music elements and nostalgic overtones. Their songwriting, often inspired by personal experiences and literature, mostly focus on themes of youth and coming of age. The Golden Disc Awards (, formerly spelled the Golden Disk Awards before 2015) is an annual South Korean major music awards ceremony that honors achievements in the local music industry. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. List Of Certified Songs In South Korea
Since 2018, 124 songs have been certified in South Korea in accordance with the certification levels set up by the Gaon Music Chart, Korea Music Content Association (KMCA). Established in 2008, the KMCA introduced the official South Korean charts in 2010 and record certifications were implemented in April 2018. Every song released after January 1, 2018, is eligible for a certification. The KMCA divides certification for songs in streaming and downloads. For songs released before 2018, Gaon published the Gaon Observation Board that record songs that reach 100 million streams and 2.5 million downloads. The first song to be certified Platinum for both streams and downloads was iKon's "Love Scenario" in June and November 2018. Paul Kim (musician, born 1988), Paul Kim's "Every Day, Every Moment" is the highest certified song in both categories.
