Janesville (also known as Lassen) is a census-designated place in Lassen County, California. It is located southeast of Susanville, at an elevation of 4239 feet (1292 m). Janesville is located on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Its population is 2,461 as of the 2020 census, up from 1,408 from the 2010 census. Janesville is a city in Black Hawk and Bremer counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 1034 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Waterloo– Cedar Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Janesville was founded in 1849 by John T. Barrick, a Quaker and abolitionist who had relocated to Iowa from Ohio. According to the book, "The Janesvillians, Volumes I and II" by Maxine Leonard, John T. Barrick built the first mill and frame house in the area. Janesville is a city in Rock County, Wisconsin, United States. It is the county seat and largest city in the county. It is a principal municipality of the Janesville, Wisconsin, Metropolitan Statistical Area and is included in the Madison–Janesville– Beloit, WI Combined Statistical Area. Janeville is a community in Gloucester County, New Brunswick on the Chaleur Bay. The Community is located at the Intersection of Route 11 and Route 340. It straddles the boundary between Bathurst and New Bandon Parishes and is part of the local service district of New Bandon-Salmon Beach.
