Jane Tilden
Jane Tilden, born as Marianne Wilhelmine Tuch, (1910–2002) was an Austrian actress who enjoyed a long career on stage and in films and television shows. She was born as Marianne Tuch in Aussig, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. She was the sister of the cinematographer Walter Tuch. After making her debut on the stage in the early 1930s she appeared regularly in German and Austrian films during the Nazi era including the 1938 comedy '' The Blue Fox'' (1938).Waldman p.200 After the Second World War she worked regularly in film and television, increasingly in supporting roles. She was married three times, her husbands included the actor Erik Frey and composer Alexander Steinbrecher. ''Cordula'' is a 1950 Austrian Drama (film and television), drama film directed by Gustav Ucicky and starring Paula Wessely, Attila Hörbiger and Jane Tilden.Fritsche, Maria. ''Homemade Men in Postwar Austrian Cinema: Nationhood, Genre and Masculinity''. Berghahn Books, 2013. p. 238. It is based on a 1925 poem by Anton Wildgans about a woman in a small town who falls pregnant to a local forester serving in the Austro-Hungarian Army, Austrian Army during the World War I, First World War. The film was the made by Wessely's independent film, independent production company, and was the sixth time she had appeared in a film directed by Usicky.
