Jane Menelaus
Jane Menelaus (born 1959) is an Australian actress who trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. Stage Jane Menelaus has worked with both the South Australian and Melbourne Theatre Companies. Her stage work has included appearance in the Shakespeare plays, ''The Winter's Tale'' with the State Theatre Company of South Australia in 1987 (at The Playhouse in Adelaide, South Australia), and ''Troilus and Cressida'' (at the Old Museum Building in 1989). A fellow cast member, for both these productions, was Geoffrey Rush. As well as a busy acting schedule with other plays, Jane Menelaus appeared in an ongoing production of ''The Importance of Being Earnest'' as Gwendolen Fairfax, with Geoffrey Rush as John Worthing. The play's popularity is shown by the fact that the production lasted over a period from 1988 to 1992, and was televised by the ABC. The Flying Doctors
''The Flying Doctors'' is an Australian drama TV series produced by Crawford Productions that revolves around the everyday lifesaving efforts of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, starring Andrew McFarlane as the newly arrived Dr. Tom Callaghan. The popular series ran for nine seasons and was successfully screened internationally. It was initially a 1985 mini-series based in the fictional outback town of Cooper's Crossing (set in the real life town of Minyip in north-western rural Victoria). Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. ''The Dish'' is a 2000 Australian historical comedy-drama film that tells the story of the Parkes Observatory's role in relaying live television of humanity's first steps on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. It was the top-grossing Australian film in 2000. Plot An old man drives up to the Parkes Radio Telescope to admire the dish. A technician gently cautions him that he's driven in through "the old entrance", and is therefore trespassing. ''The Movie Show'' is an Australian film review program which was broadcast on SBS TV. Its history is divided into three parts, until it finally wound up in 2008. History The original format, which ran from 30 October 1986 to 12 May 2004, had two presenters, David Stratton and Margaret Pomeranz. Stratton and Pomeranz left for the ABC in early 2004, expressing dissatisfaction at high-level decisions at SBS. They soon had a new program with a similar format, ''At the Movies''.
