Jane Hall (TV Series)
''Jane Hall'' is a six-part British television comedy drama on ITV (TV network), ITV, written by Sally Wainwright and starring Sarah Smart, Stephen Mangan, Daniel Lapaine, Geraldine James, Nitin Ganatra, Gillian Taylforth, Ian Reddington, Ann Mitchell, Robert Glenister and Suzanna Hamilton. It revolves around Jane Hall's job training to be a bus driver and her home life in Hounslow, "the arsehole of London". The series was originally to be titled ''Jane Hall's Big Bad Bus Ride'', but was renamed ''Jane Hall''. It first aired in New Zealand in April 2006 on TV One (New Zealand), TV One (under the original title) achieving good viewing figures. It is produced by the independent Red Production Company, and was produced some two years before it eventually received its first UK broadcast in the summer of 2006. The Mercedes-Benz Vario (model designation BM667/668/670) is a full-size commercial heavy van manufactured by Mercedes-Benz between 1996 and 2013. History The Vario was launched in 1996 as a facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz T2. The bodyshell remained relatively unchanged throughout its 17-year production life. Huddersfield
Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The Leyland National is an integrally-constructed British step-floor single-decker bus manufactured in large quantities between 1972 and 1985. It was developed as a joint project between two UK nationalised industries – the National Bus Company and British Leyland. Buses were constructed at a specially built factory at the Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Workington. Styling was carried out by the Italian vehicle stylist Giovanni Michelotti, previously commissioned by both Triumph (Herald, TR4, GT6, 2000/2500, 1300, Dolomite and Stag) and Scammell lorries (Routeman GRP cab). The East Lancs Greenway, or National Greenway, is a type of bus which is rebuilt by East Lancashire Coachbuilders from a Leyland National single-deck bus. History The first Greenway appeared in late 1991. It was conceived by London Country South West, London & Country, which at the time was part of the Drawlane Group, which owned East Lancashire Coachbuilders, East Lancs. L&C began a co-operative venture with East Lancs. The idea was to give some of the Leyland Nationals, of which London & Country still had quite a few, a mid-life rebuild. The engineering work was carried out by London & Country at Reigate, then the buses were sent to Blackburn for the replacement bodywork. Soon East Lancs made the project widespread.
