Jane (German Band)
Jane is a German progressive rock Krautrock band, that was formed in October 1970 in Hanover, Germany. Band history Playing a melodious synthesis of symphonic hard rock, that has occasionally been compared to Pink Floyd, Hanover Krautrockers Jane can trace their origins back to the late sixties psychedelic band ''The J.P.s'' (Justice of Peace). Releasing a single "Save Me"/"War" in 1968, the band featured future Jane members Peter Panka on vocals, Klaus Hess on bass and Werner Nadolny on saxophone. By late 1970 ''The J.P.s'' had dissolved and regrouped as Jane with Panka on vocals and drums, Hess switching to guitar and Nadolny assuming keyboards. Charly Maucher joined on bass and power vocalist Bernd Pulst completed the band in April 1971 and their first LP ''Together'' was released on the Hamburg-based record label Brain Records in the spring of 1972. Progressive Rock
Progressive rock (shortened as prog rock or simply prog; sometimes conflated with art rock) is a broad genre of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom and United States through the mid- to late 1960s, peaking in the early 1970s. Initially termed "progressive pop", the style was an outgrowth of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard pop traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk, or classical music. Epitaph (band)
Epitaph is a German rock band, formed in Dortmund in 1969. Playing initially what Allmusic described as "post- psych progressive rock, spiced with occasional jazz accents and widespread twin-guitar harmonies," in 1973 they started shifting towards more straightforward hard rock (later heavy metal) stylings and, having released six studio albums, disbanded in 1982. In 2000 Epitaph reunited and several new releases followed, including two studio albums (''Remember the Daze'', 2005, and ''Dancing With Ghosts'', 2009). Resurrection (Pano's Jane)
Resurrection or anastasis is the concept of coming back to life after death. In a number of religions, a dying-and-rising god is a deity which dies and is resurrected. Reincarnation is a similar process hypothesized by other religions, which involves the same person or deity coming back to body, rather than the same one. Disappearance of a body is another similar, but distinct, belief in some religions. Predrag Jovanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Предраг Јовановић) (born 14 April 1950, Kruševac, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian musician and entertainer. He is known as a former frontman of the Yugoslav group D' Boys by his stage alias Peđa D' Boy, and previously as a vocalist for the German rock band Jane.
