Jana Košecká
Jana Košecká is a Slovak computer scientist specializing in computer vision. She is a professor of computer science at George Mason University. Previously, Košecká was a researcher at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley. Education and career Košecká earned bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava; her master's thesis was on agricultural applications of artificial intelligence. After seeing a conference talk on robotics by Ruzena Bajcsy, she became interested in the subject and moved to the General Robotics, Automation, Sensing & Perception Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed her Ph.D. with Bajcsy as her doctoral advisor in 1996.
