Jan Å imbera
Jan Šimbera (born 3 November 1951) is a Czech former professional tennis player who competed for Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. He has served as team captain of the Czech Republic Fed Cup team, which included an appearance in the semi-finals in 2000. Šimbera won the Scandinavian Championships in 1975 and qualified for two grand slam singles main draws during his career. He debuted at the 1977 French Open, where he lost his first round match to Pavel Huťka in five sets. Andrew Jarrett
Andrew Jarrett (born 9 January 1958) is a former professional tennis player from the United Kingdom. Jarrett was educated at Millfield from 1969 to 1975. He enjoyed most of his tennis success while playing doubles. During his career he won one doubles title. He achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 85 in 1983. Jarrett was made tournament referee at Wimbledon in 2006 after the retirement of Alan Mills. He held this title until the 2019 Wimbledon Finals after holding the post for 14 years. Charlie Pasarell
Charles Manuel Pasarell Jr. (born February 12, 1944) is a Puerto Rican former tennis player, tennis administrator and founder of the current Indian Wells tournament. He has also commented for the Tennis Channel and with Arthur Ashe and Sheridan Snyder formed the National Junior Tennis League. He was ten times ranked in the top ten of the U.S. and No. 1 in 1967 and world No. 11 in 1966. Representing the United States as a player, he has been heavily engaged in the administration of the professional game from the inception of the ATP in 1972 and has been Vice President when he was still playing and until recently on the Board of Directors representing the Americas tournaments. In 2013, Pasarell was elected into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Pavel Huťka (born 28 February 1949) is a Czech former professional tennis player and current tennis trainer. Scandinavian Indoor Championships
The Scandinavian Indoor Championships also known as the Scandinavian Covered Court Championships and the Scandinavian Indoor Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament held from 1936 through 1979. History The tournament was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Swedish Lawn Tennis Association and was first held on the indoor courts of the B-Hall in Stockholm. The location of the tournament alternated between the four Scandinavian capitals Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo and the event was usually held at the end of January or the beginning of February. The competitors were mainly European players. The tournament struggled in Open Era, the mixed doubles event was cancelled in 1971, and the championships were abolished in 1979.
