Jan Ziobro (Polish pronunciation: , born 24 June 1991) is a Polish ski jumper, a member of the national team, a participant of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, a bronze medalist at 2015 World Championship in team . Personal life Jan Ziobro was born in Rabka Zdrój, Poland and raised in Spytkowice. He has a sister and four brothers. His brother-in-law is former ski jumper Krystian Długopolski. Ziobro works as a painter for his family's furniture company, ''Meble Ziobro'', which sponsors him and Czech Jakub Janda. In August 2013, he proposed to his girlfriend Angelika. Their daughter, Wiwiana, was born on January 16, 2014. On September 20, 2014, he married Angelika Kowalczyk in private ceremony in Spytkowice. In October 2016 his wife gave birth to their second daughter named Sonia. Hill Size
The hill size (HS) is the most important measurement for the size of a ski jumping hill. It is defined as the distance between the takeoff table and the end of the landing area, which is called hill size point. It is not measured as a straight line but on the surface of the hill. In 2004, the hill size became the official measurement for the size of hills, replacing the construction point (K-point, formerly known as the critical point), which however remains the basis for issuing points. The world's largest hills are Vikersundbakken in Vikersund, Norway and Letalnica Bratov Gorišek in Planica, Slovenia with hill size of 240 meters. Construction Point
The construction point ( ger, Konstruktionspunkt), also known as the K-point or K-spot and formerly critical point, is a line across a ski jumping hill. It is used to calculate the number of points granted for a given jump. It is therefore also called calculation point or calculation line. Classification The distance between construction point and take-off table, measured in meters, was formerly used to classify the size of a ski jumping hill. Since mid-2004, the hills are instead categorized by the hill size. Nearly all competitions in the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup use large hills with a construction point between 120 and 130. The largest is Mühlenkopfschanze in Germany. Ski jumping at the 2014 Winter Olympics was held at the RusSki Gorki Jumping Center, Krasnaya Polyana, Russia. The events were held between 8 and 17 February 2014. Women competed in ski jumping for the first time in the history of Winter Olympic Games. A total of four ski jumping events were held. Klemens Murańka (born 31 August 1994) is a Polish ski jumper, a member of the national team, a 2014 Junior World Champion in team, a bronze medalist of 2015 World Championship in team. Personal life On 28 August 2014 his fiancée gave birth to their son named Klemens Jr. On 25 April 2015 he married Agnieszka Rzadkosz. On 4 January 2021 their second son was born. Career On 31 August 2004, his 10th birthday, he jumped 135.5 m at Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane (only 4.5 m shorter than the then-official record). Piotr Paweł Żyła (Polish pronunciation: ; born 16 January 1987) is a Polish ski jumper. He is a member of the national team and competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
