Jan Vonka
Jan Vonka (born May 17, 1963 in Slaný) is a Czech auto racing driver and team owner. Career Vonka originally competed in rallying in the early 1980s, before moving on to hillclimbing. In 1999 he won the Czech Circuit Racing Championship with his Vonka Racing team. Vonka began competing in the N-GT class of the FIA GT Championship in 2002. He began competing more regularly in FIA GT in 2004, when he finished ninth overall in class, improving to finish sixth overall in class in 2005. In 2006, Vonka competed at the 12 Hours of Sebring. He also raced for Wiechers-Sport at the FIA WTCC Race of the Czech Republic The FIA WTCR Race of the Czech Republic is a round of the World Touring Car Cup, which is held at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic. Slaný
Slaný (; german: Schlan) is a town in Kladno District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 16,000 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone. The TCR Asia Challenge, previously Guia Race of Macau and WTCC Guia Race of Macau, is an international touring car race, and currently a round of the World Touring Car Cup. It is held on the temporary 6.2 km Guia Circuit on the streets of Macau, the Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China as part of the Macau Grand Prix weekend. Before 2005 when the World Touring Car Championship began, the Guia race had been run annually as a one-off international touring car race. History Since its first running in 1972, the race has been won by international touring car greats such as Tom Walkinshaw, Johnny Cecotto, Roberto Ravaglia, Emanuele Pirro, Joachim Winkelhock and Andy Priaulx.
