Jan Veselý
Jan Veselý (born 24 April 1990) is a Czech professional basketball player for FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Standing at , he can play both the power forward and center positions. He was selected sixth overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Washington Wizards. Veselý is a Three-time All-EuroLeague First Team selection. Professional career Early years Veselý began playing basketball with the youth clubs of PÅ™Ãbor and BK Snakes Ostrava in the Czech Republic. In 2007, he moved to Slovenia and signed with Geoplin Slovan. Partizan (2008–2011) In April 2008, he signed a multi-year deal with Serbian club Partizan. All-EuroLeague Team
The All-EuroLeague Team is an award for Europe's premier level league, the EuroLeague, that is given to the league's top ten basketball players for each season, since the 2000–01 season. During the FIBA era of the EuroLeague, players were honored first by being a part of the FIBA Festival, and later by being selected to the FIBA EuroStars. Under FIBA, the EuroLeague also originally featured a EuroLeague Final Four Team selection, which was a forerunner of the All-EuroLeague Team award, and which consisted of the five best players of the EuroLeague Final Four. 2016 Turkish Basketball President's Cup
The 2016 Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup was the 32nd edition of the Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup. The game was played by the Turkish Basketball League and Turkish Basketball Cup champions Fenerbahçe and the Turkish League runners-up Anadolu Efes. Anadolu Efes made its 20th appearance, while Fenerbahçe played in its 13th President's Cup and won its 6th title. Venue Match details President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was in the attendance for the game. By halftime, Anadolu Efes was looking at a 37–29 deficit. By the end of the game, the difference was stayed the same and Anadolu Efes never really came close to Fenerbahçe. Bobby Dixon, who scored 19 points was named the President's Cup MVP. The Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup ( tr, Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası), sometimes referred to as Turkish Basketball Super Cup, is the professional men's basketball super cup competition that takes place each year in Turkey. The competition began in the year 1985. One game is held to determine the winner of the competition. It is played between the winners of the Basketbol Süper Ligi and the winners of the Turkish Cup season. If the same team wins both the Turkish Super League and the Turkish Cup in the same season, then the competition takes place between the two league finalists from the Super League. The 2020 Turkish Basketball Cup ( tr, 2020 Basketbol Erkekler Türkiye Kupası) was the 35th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The quarter-finals of tournament was held from 11–12 February 2020 in 4 different locations and then semi-finals and the final were held from 14–16 February 2020 in the Ankara Arena in Ankara, Turkey. The Basketball Super League ( tr, Basketbol Süper Ligi; BSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1966) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the second-tier and third-tier divisions. The BSL is administrated by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the second-tier TBL and replaced by the top two teams of that division.
