Jan Kraus (actor)
Jan Vladimír Kraus (born 15 August 1953) is a Czech actor and TV host. He appeared in more than eighty films since 1967. Kraus was also a judge on Česko Slovensko má talent (Czecho Slovakia's Got Talent). He is the host of the television talk show ''Show Jana Krause''. Synopsis The series revolves around the members of a regular family, the Majers, who encounter people from the Fairy Tale Kingdom. Karel Majer, an actor and fairy tale reader on children's TV, one day finds a small bell which, when rung, summons an enigmatic figure calling himself Rumburak the Magician who claims that he is intent on fulfilling every wish Majer has. ''Why?'' ( cs, Proč?) is a 1987 Czechoslovak drama film directed by Karel Smyczek. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival. The film deals with the hooliganism in Czechoslovakia, particularly with the fans of football club Sparta from Prague, whose supporters were the pioneers of the football fan riots in Czechoslovakia, starting with hooligan actions already in the 1960s, like breaking the trains in which they travelled when they went on Sparta's away games.
