Cornelis Jan Bazen (born 3 January 1948) is a former speed skater from the Netherlands. He dominated the national sprint championships in the early 1970s, winning them in 1970–1972, finishing second in 1973–1974 and third in 1975–1976. Zevenhuizen, Zuidplas
Zevenhuizen is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 12 km northeast of the city of Rotterdam. Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors racing, race each other in travelling a certain distance on Ice skate, skates. Types of speed skating are long track speed skating, short track speed skating, and marathon speed skating. In the Olympic Games, long-track speed skating is usually referred to as just "speed skating", while short-track speed skating is known as "short track". The 1976 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XII Olympic Winter Games (german: XII. Olympische Winterspiele, french: XIIes Jeux olympiques d'hiver) and commonly known as Innsbruck 1976 ( bar, Innschbruck 1976, label=Austro-Bavarian), was a winter multi-sport event celebrated in Innsbruck, Austria, from February 4 to 15, 1976.
