Jan Adhikar Party (Loktantrik); English: People's Rights Party (Democratic) is a political party in Bihar, India. The party was formed by Indian politician Pappu Yadav in May 2015. Pappu Yadav wa a Member of parliament (India), Member of Parliament from Madhepura (Lok Sabha constituency), Madhepura and was expelled from Rashtriya Janata Dal for years due to anti-party activities. The party was launched just before 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Pappu Yadav
Rajesh Ranjan (born 24 December 1967), better known as Pappu Yadav, is an Indian politician. He won elections to the Lok Sabha (the lower house of the Parliament of India) in 1991, 1996, 1999, 2004 and 2014 from several constituencies in Bihar as an Independent / SP / Lok Janata Party / RJD candidate. Pappu Yadav became one of the 'best performing' MPs in 2015. Pappu Yadav is President of Jan Adhikar Party (Loktantrik). Pappu Yadav defeated Sharad Yadav in the 2014 general elections. His wife Ranjeet Ranjan was MP from Supaul but lost to JD(U) in 2019 General Election, and is a Congress leader. His son Sarthak Ranjan is a cricketer and plays for the Delhi team. Lalu Prasad Yadav
Lalu Prasad Yadav (born 11 June 1948) is an Indian politician and president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He is a former List of Chief Ministers of Bihar, Chief Minister of Bihar (1990-1997), a former Ministry of Railways (India), Railway Minister of India (2004-2009), and a former Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Member of Parliament (MP) of the Lok Sabha. He entered politics at Patna University as a student leader and in 1977 at the age of 29, was elected as the youngest member of the Lok Sabha for the Janata Party. He became the Chief Minister of Bihar in 1990. His party came to power in 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election in partnership with Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal (United), JD(U). 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
The Bihar Legislative Assembly election was held in three phases through October–November to elect members to the Seventeenth Bihar Legislative Assembly. The term of the previous Sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Bihar ended on 29 November 2020. The election was held in three phases for a total of 243 seats:- the first for 71 seats on 28 October 2020, the second for 94 seats on 3 November 2020, and the third for the remaining 78 seats on 7 November 2020. Samras Samaj Party (SSP) is a former political party in Bihar. SSP was a splinter faction of Janata Dal (United) (JDU). The leader of SSP is Nagmani. The National People's Party is a national-level political party in India, though its influence is mostly concentrated in the state of Meghalaya. The party was founded by P. A. Sangma after his expulsion from the NCP in July 2012. It was accorded national party status on 7 June 2019. It is the first political party from Northeastern India to have attained this status.
