James Stone (academic Administrator)
James Andrus Blinn Stone (1810–1888) was a minister, professor, and school administrator. He was the first president of the Kalamazoo College. His wife, Lucinda Hinsdale Stone, was a partner and administrator at the school. He helped establish the Republican Party. Biography James Andrus B Stone was born on October 28, 1810, in Piermont, New Hampshire. He was educated at the local district school and a college preparatory school in Royalton, Vermont. He graduated with honors from Middlebury College in 1834. After graduation, he was a tutor at Middlebury, and was then a principal at Hinesbury Academy. James Robert Stone (born April 26, 1992) is a former American football center. He played college football at Tennessee. He has also been a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Oakland Raiders. Early years Stone played high school football for the Maplewood High School in Nashville, Tennessee. James M. Stone (born November 12, 1947) is an American business executive. Jim Stone is the founder of Boston-based Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation and chief executive of its parent company, The Plymouth Rock Company. Stone was a Lecturer in Economics at Harvard University in the early 1970s and then was the Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance from 1975 to 1979. He was appointed chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission by President Jimmy Carter, and served on the Commission until 1983. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. James McLellan Stone is an American astrophysicist who specialises in the study of fluid dynamics. He is currently a faculty member at the school of natural sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study. Stone is also the Lyman Spitzer Jr. Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics, emeritus, and professor of astrophysical sciences and applied and computational mathematics, emeritus, at Princeton University. Biography He studied at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where he was awarded B.Sc. in 1984 and an M.Sc. in 1986. He was awarded a Ph.D. in 1990 by the University of Illinois. James Riley Stone
James Riley Stone (2 August 1908 – 24 November 2005) was a Canadian soldier and military commander. Born in Winterbourne, Gloucestershire, he enlisted in the Edmonton Regiment in 1939 and fought in the Second World War, rising from the rank of private to lieutenant colonel. Major Stone won the Military Cross at the Battle of Ortona in Italy in 1943, when he single-handedly assaulted a German anti-tank gun that was blocking his company's advance and silenced it with a grenade. As his regiment's commanding officer, he won the Distinguished Service Order at the Battle of San Fortunato in Italy in 1944, where his actions hauling heavy guns up a steep mountain caused the German Gothic Line to withdraw from a strategic position. James Hume Walter Miéville Stone (born 16 June 1954) is a Scottish Liberal Democrat politician, representing the constituency of Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross, since 2017 the northernmost mainland British constituency and one of the largest by area. He was a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the constituency of Caithness, Sutherland, and Easter Ross. Jamie Magnus Stone (born 15 December 1985) is a Scottish film director and animator, who studied at the National Film and Television School. He is the son of Sally Magnusson and grandson of Magnus Magnusson and Mamie Baird. Career Stone studied film and television at the Edinburgh College of Art where he made his first films; ''Flights'', about an old man and his flight of stairs, and the Scottish BAFTA nominated ''Fritz'' about a German Spy who lives under a boy's bed. James Nollner "Stein" Stone Sr. (April 18, 1882 – August 25, 1926) was an American football and basketball player and coach. "Stein" is the German for stone. Vanderbilt University At Vanderbilt he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Football He was a four time All-Southern center for Dan McGugin's Vanderbilt football teams, selected for the position on all-time Vanderbilt teams in 1912 and 1934. James Maritato
James Maritato (born March 12, 1972) is an American professional wrestler, best known for his work in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the ring names Little Guido and Nunzio. A high-school football player and amateur wrestler, he trained under Billy Robinson, making his professional debut in the early nineties. He joined Eastern Championship Wrestling initially as an enhancement talent, as well as competing in the shoot style UWF International promotion.
