Jamie Jackson (born January 24, 1967) is an Australian actor and stand-up comedian who has appeared in film, stage and television. His television appearances include '' Water Rats'', ''The Blacklist'', and ''Flight of the Conchords''. Jackson studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, and attended the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied musical theatre writing under the tutelage of Sarah Schlesinger. He also studied standup comedy at the American Comedy Institute with Stephen Rosenfield. The Flying Doctors
''The Flying Doctors'' is an Australian drama TV series produced by Crawford Productions that revolves around the everyday lifesaving efforts of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, starring Andrew McFarlane as the newly arrived Dr. Tom Callaghan. The popular series ran for nine seasons and was successfully screened internationally. It was initially a 1985 mini-series based in the fictional outback town of Cooper's Crossing (set in the real life town of Minyip in north-western rural Victoria). The success of the mini-series led to its return the following year as an ongoing series with McFarlane being joined by a new doctor, Chris Randall, played by Liz Burch. "Hell on Earth" is the ninth episode of the American television series, '' Smash''. The episode aired on April 2, 2012. Plot Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty) both vie for an orange juice commercial, and Karen wins out, which only accentuates how unhappy Ivy is at having to go back to the ensemble of Heaven on Earth. Sam (Leslie Odom, Jr.) shows concern for how many pills Ivy's taking, but she brushes it off as simply part of taking Prednisone. But Ivy takes more and more pills to deal with life, leading her to be high while performing Heaven on Earth, and after falling down from her buzz, get kicked off the stage by the lead. Karen sees the performance while trying to return the sunglasses she accidentally swapped with Ivy at the orange juice audition, and after yelling at each other, the pair end up drinking together and bonding. "The Tough Brets" is the third episode of the second season of the HBO comedy series ''Flight of the Conchords'', first broadcast in the United States on February 1, 2009. Plot The Conchords are playing a gig at a local public library. During the performance Bret disses every rapper that comes to mind. At the band meeting the next day, Bret and Jemaine are criticized by Murray for making too much noise at the library, and for dissing the rappers. They proceed to launch into a rap about "Hurt Feelings". The meeting concludes with Murray warning the duo about the rappers hurting them back. Dave tells Bret and Jemaine that American rappers hold grudges and seek retribution. This worries Bret so much that he begins to recruit a gang for protection. ''Flipper'' (also known as ''Flipper – The New Adventures'') is an American revival television series of the original 1964 ''Flipper'' television series. The first two seasons aired in first-run syndication; Seasons 3 and 4 aired on the PAX network. The series was set in a town named Bal Harbor that was supposed to be in the Florida Keys region. (There is an actual town in Florida with a similar name, Bal Harbour, Florida just north of the City of Miami Beach.) However, it was largely filmed in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The show’s first three episodes were filmed in Pigeon Key, Florida and at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key, Florida, but aired in different time slots during the first season.
