Jamie Ainscough
Jamie Ainscough (born 20 July 1972) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. An Australia international and New South Wales State of Origin representative three-quarter back, he played his club football for Western Suburbs, the Newcastle Knights, the St. George Illawarra Dragons and the Wigan Warriors (with whom he won the 2002 Challenge Cup). David Furner
David Furner (born 6 February 1971) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who was the head coach of the Leeds Rhinos, and a former player. He is the former assistant coach for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL, and the former head coach of the Canberra Raiders with whom he spent his whole Australian playing career. Super League
The Super League (officially known as the Betfred Super League due to sponsorship from Betfred and legally known as Super League Europe), is the top-level of the British rugby league system. At present the league consists of twelve teams, of which eleven are from Northern England, reflecting the sport's geographic heartland within the UK, and one from southern France. The Super League began in 1996, replacing the existing Rugby Football League Championship First Division, First Division and, significantly, switching from a traditional winter season to a summer season. Craig Smith (born 26 February 1973) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s. Biography Smith made his first grade rugby league debut for North Sydney Bears in 1995, playing two games late in the season, including the Bears' qualifying final defeat. Joining Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs during Super League, Smith scored 20 points in the Bulldogs' 1997 reserve grade premiership win over Auckland Warriors, before signing a two-year contract to play with Melbourne Storm, who entered the NRL in 1998. Smith was Melbourne Storm's leading point-scorer in the club's debut year (110 points), but had to sit on the sidelines for much of 1999 due to the good form of Matt Geyer. Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm are a rugby league club based in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia that participates in the National Rugby League. The first fully professional rugby league team based in the state, the Storm entered the competition in 1998. The Storm were originally a Super League initiative, created in 1997 during the Super League war, however, following the Super League collapse, the team became a part of the newly formed, united competition. The club play their home games at AAMI Park. The Storm have won four premierships since their inception, in 1999, 2012, 2017 and 2020, and have contested several more grand finals, but were stripped of the 2007 and 2009 premierships following salary cap breaches.
