James Regan (cricketer)
James Alan Regan (born 30 May 1994) is an English cricketer who played for Somerset County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman who also plays as a wicket-keeper. He has recently signed for Bridgwater Cricket Club but the bookies have short odds on him reversing that decision before the start of the season to stay at his beloved St Andrews. Life and career James Regan was born in Frimley, Surrey on 30 May 1994. Regan attended St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Farnborough and All Hallows Catholic School, Farnham before moving onto King's College, where he scored runs heavily. Regan joined the Somerset County Cricket Club academy in 2011 and featured significantly for the Somerset Second XI towards the end of the summer with both bat and gloves. Regan made his first-class debut for Somerset against Cardiff MCC University on 31 March 2012, following the decision to rest senior wicket-keepers Jos Buttler and Craig Kieswetter. James Regan (born 7 February 1991) is an Irish sportsman. He plays hurling with his local club St Thomas's and has been a member at senior level of the Galway county team since 2011. Playing career Club Regan plays his club hurling with St Thomas's. He made his senior debut in 2006 while he was still an underage player. Inter-county Regan first played for Galway at minor level in 2009. It was a successful year for the young Tribesmen as they reached the All-Ireland final. Kilkenny provided the opposition; however, Galway won by 2-15 to 2-11 giving Regan an All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship medal. The following year Regan joined the county under-21 team. Once again Galway reached the All-Ireland final where Tipperary provided the opposition. That game ended in a rout as Tipp won by 5-22 to 0-12. James Thomas Hammill Regan (June 29, 1855 – 1927) was a farmer, merchant and political figure in Ontario. He represented Wentworth South in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1911 to 1919 as a Conservative member. He was born in Chatham, the son of James Regan and Sarah Hammill, and was educated in Ancaster and Dundas. Regan was married twice: first to Alferetta Templer in 1884 and then to Kate Alma Gabel in 1898. He ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the assembly in 1905 and 1908.
