James Perry (journalist)
James Perry, born James Pirie (30 October 1756 – 4 December 1821) was a British journalist and newspaper editor. Biography Admitted to Marischal College, Aberdeen, in 1771, he began studying for the Scottish bar. Forced to abandon his studies after his father's building business failed in 1774, he moved to London in 1777. He became a reporter for ''The General Advertiser'' and the ''London Evening Post'', where he raised sales in 1779 by his court reporting from the Portsmouth trial of Admiral Keppel and Admiral Palliser.John Gorton, ''A General Biographical Dictionary'', new edn, 3 vols, 1841. He established ''The European Magazine'' in 1782, leaving it a year later to edit ''The Gazeteer'' as "the Paper of the People". James Franklin Perry (1790–1853) was an American who was an early settler and prominent citizen of Texas. James married to Emily Austin Perry, and together they operated Peach Point Plantation. He was involved in Texas land distribution. Life James Franklin Perry was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on September 19, 1790. He married Emily Austin on September 23, 1824. James Lewis Perry (born 19 November 1979 in Cape Town) is a South African former professional road bicycle racing, road cyclist. Perry has previously ridden for the UCI Professional Continental team Barloworld (cycling team), Barloworld until the team's demise. In 2001 he won a bronze medal at the World Under 23 Time Trial Championship. He has been a professional since 2002. James Perry ( ga, Séamus de Poire; ) was an Irish luthier from Dublin, known for making violins, violas and cellos. His workshop was based in Kilkenny and also produced instruments such as guitars, Western concert flute, German flutes, Fife (instrument), fifes and Tenor drum, tenors. Perry is credited with having made over 1000 instruments. Jim Perry (November 9, 1933 – November 20, 2015) was an American-Canadian television game show host, singer, announcer, and performer in the 1970s and 1980s. Perry enjoyed success on both Canadian and American television.
