James Morgan (American Football)
James Morgan (born February 28, 1997) is an American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Maulers of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at Florida International and Bowling Green before being drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. College career A three-star recruit from Ashwaubenon High School in suburban Green Bay, Wisconsin, Morgan chose Bowling Green for coach Dino Babers. Morgan redshirted his freshman year, and after that season, Babers left for Syracuse. After two years of new coach Mike Jinks' Air Raid offense, Morgan decided to transfer after the 2017 season, eventually landing on Florida International as his new school. Morgan emailed a transfer pitch to 20 schools, and FIU coach Bryn Renner was the only person who responded to the email. The 2020 East–West Shrine Bowl was the 95th staging of the all–star college football exhibition to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children. The game was played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 18, 2020, with a 3:00 p.m. EST kickoff, televised on the NFL Network. Bryn Renner
Bryn Renner (born January 22, 1990) is an American football coach and former quarterback who was most recently the quarterbacks coach at FIU. He played college football at the University of North Carolina from 2009 to 2013 for head coaches Butch Davis, Everett Withers, and Larry Fedora. He was the starter for the Tar Heels from 2011 to 2013. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Renner signed with the Denver Broncos and subsequently became a member of the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League (AFL), Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers, mostly on their practice squads. Michael Troy Jinks (born February 7, 1972) is an American football coach, currently the running backs coach for Houston Cougars football. Jinks served as the head football coach at Bowling Green State University from 2016 until midway through the 2018 season, before becoming the running backs coach at the University of Southern California. The Syracuse Orange football team represents Syracuse University in the sport of American football. Dino Sean Babers (born July 19, 1961) is an American football coach who is the current head football coach at Syracuse University. He was head coach at Bowling Green State University from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Babers had been head coach at Eastern Illinois University. Babers grew up in California and played football at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Playing career Babers was born in Honolulu, grew up in San Diego, and attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa (1979–1983) where he played running back and defensive back on the football team.
