James Mellen
James Mellen (born January 1, 1996, in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania) is an American sprint track cyclist representing the United States. Mellen is a current US National Record holder in the 200m Flying Time Trial and an 11-time US National Champion. Mellen graduated cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University-Schreyer Honors College in 2018 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Career In 2013 UCI Juniors Track World Championships, 2013 and 2014 UCI Juniors Track World Championships, 2014 James Mellen competed at the UCI Junior Track World Championships. In 2015 Mellen won his first USA Cycling National Championship, in the team sprint with Matthew Baranoski and David Espinoza. The following year he won two titles, in Keirin and also in Team Sprint (with James Alvord and David Espinoza). Schnecksville, Pennsylvania
Schnecksville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in North Whitehall Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The population of Schnecksville was 2,935 at the 2010 census. Schnecksville is a suburb of Allentown in the Lehigh Valley metropolitan area of the United States, which had a population of 861,899 and was the 68th most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census. Its U.S. postal code ( ZIP code) is 18078. History Schnecksville was first settled in 1756 by Adam Schneck. His log home is still standing but has been moved approximately one-half mile from its original location. In 1840, Schnecksville was laid out by Daniel Schneck. Descendants of the Schnecks still live in the town today. He and his son Moses Schneck owned a hotel and other buildings. A George Rau opened a store.
