James McGee (author)
James McGee is an English novelist known for his historical adventure novels about a fictional Bow Street Runner, Matthew Hawkwood. James McGee was born in Kent, but, as an army child, spent his childhood in Gibraltar, Germany and Northern Ireland. He has worked in various trades and professions including banking, newspapers and bookselling. Matthew Hawkwood novels McGee's historical novels are set during the Regency period, when Britain was at war with Napoleon. His hero, Matthew Hawkwood, is working as a Bow Street Runner, an early investigative officer working out of London's Bow Street Magistrates' Court. He is called upon to solve a number of civil crimes, including murder, body-snatching and highway robbery, but his previous military experience makes him ably suited to investigate issues of national security. James McGee (Irish Politician)
James Thomas McGee (23 September 1885 – 19 January 1956) was an Irish farmer, cattle dealer and politician. The owner of a farm at Kellystown near Ardee, County Louth, he was chairman of the Irish Cattle Traders and Stockowners Association. He was involved in local politics. He was a member of Louth County Council for forty years, of which he was chairman from from 1925 to 1955. He was also chairman of Ardee Town Commissioners. He was an Independent member of Seanad Éireann from 1938 to 1956. James McGee (tennis)
James McGee (born 10 June 1987) is an Irish former professional tennis player. He was born in Castleknock, Ireland. He attended Belvedere College in Dublin, Co. Dublin. Personal life McGee was born to Kieran and Marie McGee. He started playing tennis at the age of seven at Castleknock. He won his school's tennis championship in 2002, 2003 and 2004, and was also awarded the Most Outstanding Player of the Year in Ireland in 2003. He was educated at Belvedere College in Dublin and then obtained a major in Psychology from North Carolina State University in 2008. Career McGee has spent most of his career on the Futures and Challenger circuits. James Richard McGee (3 June 1923 – 4 November 1998) was an Irish basketball player and musician. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Biography McGee was born in Boyle, Roscommon. He joined the Irish Army in 1938 at the age of 15. Three years later, he enlisted in the School of Music in Dublin where he was a member of the Army No. 1 Band at Cathal Brugha Barracks in Rathmines.
