James Malone (Australian Politician)
Daniel James Malone (27 September 1878 – 20 August 1952) was an Australian politician. He was born in Kapunda in South Australia to station master Daniel Malone and Elizabeth Kiely. He was educated in Adelaide and worked on a farm at Terowrie before moving to Tasmania and then Sydney. He became an engineer, working for the Australian Institute of Engineers and directing several companies. On 15 August 1904 he married Catherine Mary Balfe, with whom he had six children. From 1925 to 1934 he was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council The New South Wales Legislative Council, often referred to as the upper house, is one of the two chambers of the parliament of the Australian state of New South Wales. Arsis is an American heavy metal band from Virginia Beach, Virginia, formed in 2000. The band is currently signed to Nuclear Blast. History Demos and Willowtip era (2000–2006) Arsis was started by James Malone and Michael "Mike" Van Dyne in 2000, who met while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The name ''Arsis'' comes from the musical term ''arsis and thesis'' meaning up and down beats. They recorded two demos independently in 2001 and 2002, which were later officially released by Negative-Existence Records in 2007. Arsis signed to Willowtip Records in 2003 and released their highly acclaimed debut album, '' A Celebration of Guilt'', in 2004, which later ranked #50 on Decibel Magazine's "Top 100 Death Metal Albums of All Time" list. James William Malone (March 8, 1920 – April 9, 2000) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown in Ohio from 1968 to 1995. Biography Early life James Malone was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on March 8, 1920. The son of a steelworker, Malone worked in a steel mill for a year to raise money for college. He attend St. Mary's Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio. He later received a Doctor of School Administration degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Malone was ordained a priest by Bishop James A. McFadden for the Diocese of Youngstown on May 26, 1945. Jim Malone (footballer)
James Malone (13 November 1925 – 23 October 2021) was an Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Initially a wingman, Malone spent much of his time at North Melbourne playing as a rover. Malone, who came from Laanecoorie, was joined at North Melbourne by his brother Joe in 1946. Another brother, Jack Malone, played for Footscray earlier in the decade. Malone was the first rover in North Melbourne's 1950 VFL Grand Final team, their first grand final since entering the competition in 1925. James Edward Malone (born February 20, 1962) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey centre. Career Malone was an outstanding junior hockey player with the Toronto Marlboros of the ( OMJHL/ OHL), racking up 48 points with the Marlboros in his rookie season 1979–80. He was picked in the 1st round, 14th overall, in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. He continued to play with the Marlboros until 1982. Malone then moved on and played with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League (CHL) in 1982–83, where he had 15 points in 29 games. In December 1982 Malone suffered a knee injury. Malone came back from the injury to play with the Moncton Alpines of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the rest of the 1982–83 season. He returned to the Tulsa Oilers for the 1983–84 season and went on to win the league's playoff title that year.
