James Fadiman
James Fadiman (born May 27, 1939) is an American writer known for his research on Psychedelic microdosing, microdosing psychedelics. He co-founded the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, which later became Sofia University (California), Sofia University. Early years Fadiman was born in New York City to a Jewish family and grew up in Bel Air, Los Angeles, Bel Air. His father, William Fadiman, was a producer, story editor, and book reviewer in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood, one of his credits being ''The Last Frontier (1955 film), The Last Frontier''. Dorothy Fadiman
Dorothy Fadiman (born June 3, 1939 in Pennsylvania) is an American documentary filmmaker, director, and producer. Early life Fadiman was raised in Pennsylvania. Education Fadiman attended University of Pittsburgh and Penn State, and received an MA from Stanford University. Career Since 1976, Fadiman has been producing documentaries with a focus on social justice and human rights. Fadiman had an illegal abortion in 1962 after becoming pregnant while at Stanford University. She was blindfolded throughout the procedure, hemorrhaged and ended up on the intensive care ward of Stanford hospital. Myron Stolaroff
Myron J. Stolaroff (August 20, 1920 – January 6, 2013) was an author and researcher who is best known for his studies involving psychedelic psychotherapy. He also conducted clinical studies that attempted to measure the effects of LSD, mescaline, and other drugs on creativity. Biography Stolaroff was born in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1941, he received a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. From 1942 through 1945, he held the title of Civilian Engineer at the Navy Department, Bureau of Ships. Clifton Paul "Kip" Fadiman (May 15, 1904 – June 20, 1999) was an American intellectual, author, editor, radio and television personality. He began his work with the radio, and switched to television later in his career. Background Born in Brooklyn, New York, Fadiman was a nephew of the emigree Ukrainian psychologist Boris Sidis and a first cousin of the child prodigy William James Sidis. Fadiman grew up in Brooklyn. Maria Grace Fadiman (born July 4, 1969) is an American ethnobotanist and Professor of Geosciences at Florida Atlantic University. Biography Fadiman is the daughter of documentary filmmaker Dorothy Fadiman and psychologist and author James Fadiman. Clifton Fadiman was her great-uncle, and she is a distant cousin of Anne Fadiman. She received her BA from Vassar College, her MA from Tulane University and her PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. Robert Frager is an American social psychologist. He is the founder of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, now called Sofia University, in Palo Alto, California, where he is director of the low residency Master of Arts in Spiritual Guidance program and professor of psychology.
