James E. Edmondson
James E. Edmondson (born March 7, 1945) is a justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court. He was appointed to the Court's District 7 seat by Governor Brad Henry in 2003. Early life Edmondson graduated from Central High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma, before attending Northeastern State University. Following graduation from NSU in 1967, he served in the United States Navy for two years. He earned his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1973. From 1976 to 1978, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Muskogee County, Oklahoma. From 1978 to 1981, he served in the U.S. Attorney's office in Muskogee, Oklahoma, as an Assistant United States Attorney, and later Acting United States Attorney. From 1981 to 1983, he was a Partner in the Edmondson Law Firm along with his brother, Drew Edmondson. Ed Edmondson (politician)
Edmond Augustus Edmondson (April 7, 1919 – December 8, 1990) was an American World War II veteran, lawyer, and politician from Oklahoma. He served 10 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1953 to 1973. He was defeated in U.S. Senate elections in Oklahoma three times in 1972, 1974, and 1978. Early life He was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he attended public school before going on to attend Muskogee Junior College.
