James E. Doyle II (born February 16, 1972) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Rhode Island Senate representing District 8 until 2018. He resigned in January 2018 citing his battles with alcoholism. He was also being investigated for check kiting to defraud three local banks of more than $74 million. He was charged and pled guilty to 31 counts of bank fraud and tax evasion. Education One of three children born to James E. Jim Doyle
James Edward Doyle, Jr., (born November 23, 1945) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 44th governor of Wisconsin, serving from January 6, 2003 to January 3, 2011. In his first election to the governorship, he defeated incumbent Governor Scott McCallum by a margin of 45 percent to 41 percent; the Libertarian Party candidate Ed Thompson won 10 percent of the vote. Although in 2002 Democrats increased their number of governorships, Doyle was the only one of them to unseat a Republican. Doyle also served as Wisconsin’s Attorney General for 12 years before becoming Governor. He is currently an attorney 'of counsel' in the Madison, Wisconsin office of the law firm of Foley & Lardner and serves on the corporate board of Epic Systems. James Emerson Delaney (August 12, 1924 – June 25, 1947), known professionally as Jimmy Doyle, was a welterweight boxer who died later in the hospital after a boxing match with Sugar Ray Robinson. Background A mixed-race Creole, Doyle was born James Emerson Delaney in Los Angeles on August 12, 1924, "Jimmy Doyle," was the son of Edward (originally Edouard) Delaney and Marie Elodie Barret, both from New Orleans, who moved to Los Angeles shortly after their marriage in 1921. Jimmy Doyle
James Doyle (20 March 1939 – 22 June 2015) was an Irish hurler who played as a right wing-forward for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Doyle first played competitive hurling whilst at school in Thurles CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fourteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team. He made his senior debut in the 1957–58 National League. Doyle went on to play a key part for Tipperary during a hugely successful era for the team, and won six All-Ireland medals, nine Munster medals and seven National Hurling League medals. An All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions, Doyle also captained the team to All-Ireland victory in 1962 and 1965. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team for twelve years, Doyle won eight Railway Cup medals. At club level he won ten championship medals with Thurles Sarsfield's. Jamie Doyle (born 23 May 1985), is a Scottish football midfielder who plays for Leicester City FC. Career Doyle began his career with Leicester City making his senior debut against FC Barcelona in a pre season friendly. After a few loan spells at Canvey Island and failing to get regular first team football, he returned home to Scotland in January 2004 to join Ayr United. He scored a goal on his debut for Ayr, in a 2–1 defeat away to Inverness CT. Doyle left Ayr in June 2005, and after 6 months without a club, he joined Albion Rovers. He stayed with the Coatbridge outfit for a year, making 34 appearances, before signing for Arbroath in January 2007 for a fee of £12,000. He only made 20 appearances for Arbroath, and dropped out of the senior game to sign for Junior side Glenafton Athletic. James Patrick 'Chick' Doyle was a former Irish badminton player and coach. He was coached by Frank Peard and won eleven Irish National Badminton Championships titles in men's singles and doubles in the period 1954–1964.
