James Dixon Williams
James Dixon Williams (February 27, 1877 – August 28, 1934) was an early American film producer and studio executive. He was a founder of First National Pictures and British National Pictures. Biography John Dixon Williams was born on February 27, 1877 in Ceredo, West Virginia to Harriett and O.H. Williams. He worked in live theater, selling tickets and later playing the house organ. He then worked as a traveling picture showman. From around 1897 until 1908 he toured with his show across the United States, ending up in Spokane, Seattle, and Vancouver. He went to Australia in 1909, and in 1912 he opened Luna Park in Melbourne — illuminated by 15,000 electric lights and drawing 22,300 people on the first night. Ceredo, West Virginia
Ceredo is a town in Wayne County, West Virginia, United States, situated along the Ohio River. The population was 1,450 at the 2010 census. Ceredo is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 288,649. The city is also near the location of the Southern Airways Flight 932 aviation disaster. On November 14, 1970, a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airplane carrying the Marshall University football team crashed on a hillside on approach to the Tri-State Airport, killing all 75 on board. Manhattan Psychiatric Center
The Manhattan Psychiatric Center is a New York-state run psychiatric hospital on Wards Island in New York City. As of 2009, it was licensed for 509 beds, but holds only around 200 patients. The current building is 17 stories tall. The building strongly resembles the main building of the Creedmoor Psychiatric Center in Queens. It is adjacent to Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center, a specialized facility for patients with criminal convictions.
