James Conrad
James Conrad (born May 4, 1990) is a professional disc golfer from Blacksburg, Virginia, currently competing on the PDGA National Tour, and Disc Golf Pro Tour. He Joined the Professional Disc Golf Association in 2000 and became a professional in 2006. Conrad has won both the PDGA World Championships, in 2021, and the United States Disc Golf Championship, in 2019. Conrad is most notable for throwing what is widely considered the most famous shot in disc golf history: a 247-foot approach shot he hit for birdie on the final hole at the 2021 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championship. The shot forced a playoff with Paul McBeth, which Conrad won on the first hole to secure his first world championship title. The shot was the number one play on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10 highlight segment, and was widely covered throughout mainstream sports media. The Disc Golf Pro Tour was founded in 2016 by Steve Dodge and Nate Heinold. The DGPT is the highest level of competition in professional disc golf. The tour currently operates two tours, the Elite Series and Silver Series, both featuring men's and women's professional divisions. United States Disc Golf Championship
The United States Disc Golf Championship is a disc golf tournament held at the Winthrop Gold Course, on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Paul McBeth (born July 9, 1990) is an American professional disc golfer from Huntington Beach, California. He won the PDGA World Championships four times in a row (2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015) and again in 2019 and 2022, making him a six-time champion. He has not finished outside the top 2 at a World championship for the past 10 years. McBeth was the top rated player of the PDGA in 2015, 2017, 2018, and again in 2019. Jeremy Koling is a professional disc golfer from Charlotte, North Carolina. He competes on the sport's North American tour: the Disc Golf Pro Tour, and competed on the PDGA National Tour until its last season in 2021. Among his most notable accomplishments are his 2008 PDGA Amateur World Championship win and his 2016 United States Disc Golf Championship win.
