James Buckley (actor)
James Patrick Buckley (born 14 August 1987) is an English actor, musician, YouTuber and streamer. He is best known for playing Jay Cartwright in the E4 sitcom ''The Inbetweeners.'' Early life and education James Patrick Buckley was born in Croydon, England. His father was a postman and his mother worked for the Home Office. It was while taking part in school plays that Buckley found out how much he enjoyed performing and, from the age of seven, started going to a stage school at weekends. The family later moved to Dagenham and by the age of eleven, Buckley began his first professional jobs in the West End shows '' Whistle Down the Wind'' and ''Les Misérables''. The same year, he also began attending The Chafford School. Buckley stated that school interested him so little, that he did not collect his GCSE results. ''The Inbetweeners Movie'', known simply as ''The Inbetweeners'' in North America, is a 2011 British coming-of-age teen adventure comedy film based on the E4 sitcom ''The Inbetweeners'', written by series creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris and directed by Ben Palmer. ''Red Nose Day 2011'' was a fundraising event organised by Comic Relief. There was a live telethon broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two from the evening of 18 March 2011 to early the following morning as well as a number of run-up events. The theme for the Red Nose Day 2011 invited fund-raisers to "Do Something Funny For Money". Results Donations to Comic Relief's Red Nose Day 2011 reached £74,360,207, the largest total reached on the night in the event's 23-year history. Comic Relief co-founder Richard Curtis said: "This is more than we ever believed we would raise. The generosity of the British public is staggering."
