James Da'One Brewer (born December 23, 1987) is a former American football offensive tackle. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Indiana Hoosiers football, Indiana. Professional career New York Giants He was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft with the 117th overall pick. Despite making the Giants 53-man roster out of training camp for the 2011 season, Brewer was a gameday inactive for all 16 regular season games. New York Jets Brewer signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets on March 19, 2015. He was waived on August 30, 2015. James Norris Brewer
James Norris Brewer (1777–1839; fl. 1799–1829), was an English topographer and novelist. He wrote many romances and topographical compilations, the best of the latter being his contributions to the series called the ''Beauties of England and Wales''. All the former are now forgotten. Life According to the ''Oxford Dictionary of National Biography'' (2004), Brewer "was the eldest son of a merchant of London. He married the daughter of a gentleman at Clapham... Nothing is recorded of his death." From genealogical sources, a little more can be added. Brewer was born in London on 11 September 1777. He was baptised on 8 October 1777 with full name James Jupp Norris Brewer, at St Sepulchre Church in Holborn, where his parents James Brewer and Sarah Sparrow had been married on 4 May the previous year. James Alexander Brewer
James Alexander Brewer (25 February 1818 – 10 January 1886) was a naturalist, plant-collector, botanist, a writer of local floras, a beetle-collector, and a postmaster in the British Post Office. He was a member of the Botanical Society of London, a member of the Linnean Society of London, and the first honorary secretary of the 'Holmesdale Natural History Club' in Reigate, in the Vale of Homesdale. In 1856 he published a ''New flora of the neighborhood of Reigate, Surrey'', and in 1861 he was asked by the 'Holmesdale Natural History Club' to edit for publication the manuscript of John Drew Salmons on the ''Flora of Surrey''. Brewer was elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London in 1856. He collected plants and insects in Great Britain and Australia. Jim Brewer (baseball)
James Thomas Brewer (November 14, 1937 – November 16, 1987) was an American relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. From 1960 through 1976, Brewer played for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and California Angels. He batted and threw left-handed. Following the advice of Warren Spahn, Brewer developed a screwball to become one of the most successful relievers in the National League in the 1960s and 1970s. Career A graduate of Broken Arrow Senior High in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Brewer compiled a 69–65 record with 810 strikeouts and a 3.07 earned run average in a 17-year career that began with the Cubs and ended with the Angels, and in between spent twelve seasons with the Dodgers. In his career, Brewer recorded 133 saves, 126 with the Dodgers, appearing in 474 games for the club. Jim Brewer (basketball)
James Turner Brewer (born December 3, 1951) is an American former National Basketball Association (NBA) player. Brewer was the first notable player to come out of Proviso East High School, which has one of the most successful high school basketball programs in Illinois. In 1969, Brewer, playing center, led his team to the first of four state championships. Brewer was followed at Proviso East by other future NBA players, notably Doc Rivers, Michael Finley, Dee Brown, Shannon Brown, Sterling Brown, and JeVon Carter. The 6'9" 210-pound forward then attended the University of Minnesota. One of his teammates was future Baseball Hall-of-Famer Dave Winfield. He is infamous for his role in a 1972 brawl in Minneapolis, where white Ohio State center Luke Witte was assaulted by fellow Gophers Corky Taylor and Ron Behagen in a game. James Brewer (October 3, 1920 – June 3, 1988), also known as Blind Jim Brewer (although Brewer did not like this additive: "''My mother didn't name me "Blind", she named me "Jim"''), was an American blues singer and guitarist. Born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, United States, he moved to Chicago, Illinois, in the 1940s, spending the latter part of his life busking and performing both blues and religious songs at blues and folk festivals, on Chicago's Maxwell Street and other venues. In Chicago, he often performed with Arvella Gray. In the 'boom' time during the 1960s blues revival period, Brewer worked on the college circuit and appeared on television. During that time, he had recordings issued on Heritage, Flyright and Testament Records. James Alphege Brewer (1881-1946) was a well-known early 20th century producer of colour etchings - notably of English and European Cathedrals and churches and other scenes. Family & Early Life Brewer was born on 24th July 1881, in Kensington, London, the son of Henry William Brewer, noted artist of historical architecture. His brothers included the painter Henry Charles Brewer and the novelist and organist John Francis Brewer. Their grandfather was the historian John Sherren Brewer and their great uncle was E.
