James Bauer
James Bauer (1884–1940) was a German film director. Following the Nazi takeover of power in 1933, he emigrated first to Spain and later to Argentina, where he directed several films until his death in 1940. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. It was shot at the Staaken Studios in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art director Max Heilbronner. Synopsis Gardener Martin Hollman meets Lisbeth his much older wife Hedwig's daughter from her first marriage. She becomes his Housekeeper (domestic worker), housekeeper and the two fall in love and when she falls pregnant go to get married.
