Jamboo
''Jamboo'' is 1980 Indian Tamil-language action adventure film, co-written, directed and produced by M. Karnan from a story by Maa. Ra. The film stars Jaishankar, leading an ensemble cast that includes Major Sundarrajan, S. A. Ashokan, Thengai Srinivasan, M. R. R. Vasu, Manorama and Jayamala. It was released on 15 January 1980. Plot A varied group of travellers on a flight to the United States find themselves stranded on an island. They are rescued by Jamboo, who has lived on the island by himself since childhood. He is capable of surviving the harsh surrounding full of wild animals, raging rivers and other natural dangers. Jamboo takes on the task of keeping the crash survivors alive and eventually lead them off the island. They are forced to stay on the island until the circumstances are right for them to attempt an escape. The film chronicles the many varied dangers they face as they attempt to get home. Venniradai Moorthy
Vennira Aadai Moorthy (born 25 July 1936) is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. He is a lawyer by education, and holds a B.L. degree in addition to a PhD in astrology. He is married to actress Manimala who played Suhasini's mother in '' Sindhu Bhairavi'' and the heroine in ''Vallavanukku Vallavan'' (1965). He is also a well known script-writer. Kamal Haasan's first full-fledged film as hero ''Maalai Sooda Vaa'', had Murthy as a script writer. He is especially remembered for his Sunday TV Show 'Meendum Meendum Sirippu', which aired on Sun TV for 11 years. Thengai Srinivasan
Thengai Srinivasan (21 October 1937 – 9 November 1987) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil language, Tamil-language films and plays from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was given the prefix ''Thengai'' (coconut) after his role as a coconut-seller in the play ''Kal Manam''. Although originally a comedian, he also performed in other genres and enacted several lead and antagonistic roles. Early life Srinivasan was born to Rajavel Mudaliar (Chennai) and Subammal (Srivaikuntam in Tuticorin district) on 21 October 1937. He had two sisters. When he was seven years old, his family moved to Chennai. Jaishankar (12 July 1938 – 3 June 2000) was an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil cinema. He was a very popular lead actor in the 1960s and 70s. He was credited onscreen with title of ''Makkal Kalaingnar'' (people's artiste) or ''Makkal Thamizhan'' (people's Tamil) in most films starring him. He was also referred to as ''Thennakathu James Bond'' (South Indian James Bond) because of his roles in films such as ''Vallavan Oruvan'' and ''CID Shankar''.
