Jamal Jones (basketball)
Jamal Avery Jones (born February 17, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. He played college basketball at Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Early life and high school Jones was born in Wynne, Arkansas and grew up in Searcy, Arkansas, where he attended Searcy High School. After growing seven inches from 6-1 to 6-8 over three years, Jones averaged 16.4 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals as a junior and was ranked a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. He committed to Ole Miss over offers from Arkansas State and Iowa State during his senior year. College career Ole Miss Jones began his collegiate career at Ole Miss, but was dismissed from the team after appearing in only five games for violating undisclosed team rules. 2019–20 Greek Basket League
The 2019–20 Greek betshop.gr Basket League was the 80th season of the Greek Basket League, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Greece. The season started in September 2019, and ended prematurely in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 21 May 2020, after a vote that was held between the league's 14 teams, Panathinaikos was crowned the Greek basketball league's champion for the season, marking the club's 38th Greek championship. The league's 14 teams also agreed that none of the teams would be relegated. Proposed format changes On 15 May 2019, the Greek Basket League announced that it was planning to expand from 14 teams to 16 teams, and that there were no league relegations scheduled from the previous 2018–19 Greek Basket League season. The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. Korisliiga
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The top six teams advances continues to upper stage and the bottom six teams plays lower stage after 22 games, 5 games at home and 5 games at away versus all other teams in stage. FIBA Europe Cup
The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup. The new competition, which replaced EuroChallenge, was supposed to be open for up to 100 teams to enter.
