Jalley Sonam
Jally Sonam is an Indian trade unionist and politician. As of 2014 he is the president of the All Arunachal Pradesh Workers Union. As of 2012 he served as working president of the Arunachal Pradesh branch of the Indian National Trade Union Congress and joint convenor of the North-East states for INTUC. Sonam served as chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB).''The Sentinel''. Indian National Trade Union Congress
Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) is a national trade union in India. It was founded on 3 May 1947 and is affiliated with the International Trade Union Confederation. According to provisional statistics from the Ministry of Labour, INTUC had a membership of 33.95 million in 2013, making it the largest Trade Union in India. Early years The foundation of INTUC on 3 May 1947 just 3 months before India attained independence. People's Party Of Arunachal
Peoples Party of Arunachal, a regional political party in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It was founded in September 1977 by Bakin Pertin, Oken Lego and L. Wanglat as president, Vice President and General Secretary of the party. Tomo Riba resigned from PK Thungon government Congress Party and joined PPA as Vice President of the Party. Currently, Kamen Ringu is the Chairman of the party. They were in power in Arunachal until all of their MLAs defected back to Indian National Congress. 2014 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 Indian general election, 2019 elections. Around 23.1 million or 2.7% of the total eligible voters were aged 18–19 years. A total of 8,251 candidates contested the 543 elected Lok Sabha seats. The average election turnout over all nine phases was around 66.40%, the highest ever in the history of Indian general elections. The results were declared on 16 May, 15 days before the 15th Lok Sabha completed its constitutional mandate on 31 May 2014. The counting exercise was held at 989 counting centres. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received 31% of the vote and won 282 seats, while its National Democratic Alliance won a total of 336 seats.
