Jalan Pudu is a major road in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the Department of Survey and Mapping, Kuala Lumpur is divided into sections and, smaller still, into lots. A map of Kuala Lumpur from 1895 places Pudu (or ''Pudoh'', as it was back then) in a vast swampy area far from the administrative capital where Sultan Abdul Samad Building still stands. Pudu Sentral
The pudus ( Mapudungun ''püdü'' or ''püdu'', es, pudú, ) are two species of South American deer from the genus ''Pudu'', and are the world's smallest deer. The chevrotains (mouse-deer; Tragulidae) are smaller, but they are not true deer. The name is a loanword from Mapudungun, the language of the indigenous Mapuche people of central Chile and south-western Argentina. The two species of pudus are the northern pudu (''Pudu mephistophiles'') from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and the southern pudu (''Pudu puda''; sometimes incorrectly modified to ''Pudu pudu'') from southern Chile and south-western Argentina. Pudus range in size from tall, and up to long. The southern pudu is classified as near threatened, while the northern pudu is classified as Data Deficient in the IUCN Red List. Petaling Street
Petaling Street (Malay: ''Jalan Petaling'', Simplified Chinese: 茨厂街, Traditional Chinese: 茨廠街, pinyin: Cíchǎng Jiē, Cantonese jyutping: ci4 cong2 gaai1) is a Chinatown located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The whole vicinity is also known as Chinatown KL. Haggling is a common sight here and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists. The area has dozens of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favourites such as Hokkien mee, Ikan Bakar (barbecued fish), ''asam laksa'' and curry noodles. Reggae Bar Chinatown is located here. Traders here are mainly Chinese but there are also Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders. It is also known for street prostitution. The Tun Razak Exchange, otherwise known as TRX (previously known as Kuala Lumpur International Financial District or KLIFD)'','' is a 70-acre development by 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur for international finance and business. The development was named after the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, due to its location along Jalan Tun Razak. TRX is a strategic enabler of the Malaysian government's Economic Transformation Programme (ETP). The master plan includes a total of 26 buildings and over 21 million ft2 of Gross Floor Area (GFA) spread across the office, residential, hotel, retail, F&B and cultural offerings. Kuala Lumpur Inner Ring Road is an urban and municipal ring road system of Kuala Lumpur consisting of Jalan Sultan Ismail (Jalan Treacher), Jalan Imbi, Jalan Shaw and Federal Route 1 (Jalan Kuching, Jalan Sultan Hisamuddin (Victory Avenue), Jalan Kinabalu and Jalan Maharajalela (Jalan Birch)). Plaza Rakyat
The People's Plaza ( ms, Plaza Rakyat) is an under construction mixed-use skyscraper complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia initiated during the 1990s. However the project, which had already commenced construction, stalled due to the 1997 Asian financial crisis until 2020 and is currently revived by DBKL. The project, originally designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, was to comprise a 79-storey office tower, a 46-storey condominium, a 24-storey hotel and a 7-storey shopping centre. The original Puduraya bus depot was also intended to be replaced. Minor demolition works on the abandoned site started back in 2020 to make way for Tower 2 which will consist a total of 70 floors, while Tower 3 will consist of 46 floors.
