Jānis Jaks
Jānis Jaks (born 22 August 1995) is a Latvian professional ice hockey defenceman currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for HC Sochi of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career Collegiate Jaks joined the Yellow Jackets for the 2016–17 campaign and quickly became a mainstay of their blue line, scoring five goals and six assists for 11 points as a freshman, including two game-winning goals. Professional On 30 March 2020, Jaks was signed to a one-year contract with the Bakersfield Condors of the AHL for the 2020–21 season. With the commencement of the 2020–21 North American season delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jaks was signed to a try-out contract with Latvian-based KHL club, Dinamo Riga, on 23 August 2020. Jaks appeared in 17 contests with Dinamo, collecting 1 goal and 4 points before returning to the AHL and the Condors. Pauli Jaks
Pauli Jaks (born January 25, 1972) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey goaltender who played one game in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings during the 1994–95 NHL season. Biography Jaks played in the 1985 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a Swiss-Italian youth team. Jaks was selected in the 5th round (108th overall) in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Jaks was the first Swiss-trained player to appear in the NHL. Jaks also played in the IHL for the Phoenix Roadrunners, but he is best known for his play in the Switzerland National League A. He was named best goaltender at the 1991 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and was also named to the tournament all-star team. He has two children: Aleksander Nicolas (born 1999) and Krystian Dominik (born 2002). Iver Jåks
Iver Jåks (25 October 1932 – 17 March 2007) was a Norwegian Sami artist, sculptor and illustrator. Iver Iversen Jåks was born in Karasjok in Troms og Finnmark, Norway. He was awarded a place at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in Oslo from 1952 to 1955. He won a place at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen from 1958 to 1959. He often used elements of Sami culture and mythology in his artistic works. He is represented at the National Gallery of Norway, at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum, and other museums. He was decorated Knight, First Order of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 2002. Martin Jakš (; born 6 September 1986 in Plzeň, Czechoslovak Socialist Republic) is a Czech cross-country skier who has competed since 2004. His best World Cup finish was third in a 3.3 km event in Italy in 2008. He also has two wins in the 4 × 10 km relay, earning them in 2007 and 2008.
