Karl Erik Jakob Samuelsson, better known as ''Jakob Samuel'' (born 19 February 1969) is a Swedish singer. He was the singer for the poprock-group The Poodles until they disbanded in 2018. In 2011, he competed in Körslaget which was broadcast on TV4 (Sweden), TV4, placing third. His daughter Cornelia Jakobs is a singer and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Stockholm Pride
Stockholm Pride (styled as STHLM Pride) is an annual gay pride festival held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Since the start in 1998, Stockholm Pride has grown. In 2014, some 60,000 participated and 600,000 followed the parade at the streets. The celebrations normally starts with lectures and exhibitions all over the city on the Monday. Pride House is the festival's cultural centre. It is packed with seminars, debates, workshops, exhibitions, film, theatre and other performances. On the Wednesday it's the grand opening of the closed off Pride Park which is the festival arena for tens of thousands of people, and in the park organisation stalls, stages, restaurants, shops, and other attractions are built. The Poodles
The Poodles were a glam metal/ heavy metal band from Sweden, formed by singer Jakob Samuel (a.k.a. Jake Samuels), bassist Pontus Egberg, guitarist Pontus Norgren and drummer Christian Lundqvist. Their songs include "Metal Will Stand Tall" and "Night of Passion", the latter of which was performed in 2006 in Melodifestivalen, the annual music competition to decide the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. The Poodles performed in Melodifestivalen again in 2008, this time with E-Type. They also played at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2006 and 2008. Körslaget is a Swedish entertainment TV program on TV4. The format was developed by Friday TV and based on an idea from Caroline af Ugglas, Heinz Liljedahl and Patrik Hambraeus. A US version, ''Clash of the Choirs'', was broadcast on NBC in December 2007. In each season of Körslaget, seven known musicians from Sweden start their own choirs with 20 members in each. Each choir then performs one song in each program, and the audience then votes (either through a telephone call or SMS messaging) on the choir(s) they want to remain in the season. The team/choir with the fewest votes is eliminated in each program until one winning team remains; however, in the first program no team is eliminated. The winning team receives a certain amount of prize money to be donated to something in the city that the choir in question came from. TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years.
