Jake Toolson
Jake Toolson (born March 6, 1996) is an American basketball player who last played for BG Göttingen of the easyCredit BBL. He played college basketball for the Utah Valley Wolverines and the BYU Cougars. He was named the 2019 Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Toolson's father Troy is the cousin of former Jazz wing Andy Toolson. College career Toolson, a shooting guard from Highland High School in Gilbert, Arizona, committed to play college basketball for Brigham Young University (BYU). In his sophomore season for the Cougars, Toolson appeared in 10 games and averaged 3.9 points per game before taking a medical leave and ending his season. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Mark Edward Pope (born September 11, 1972) is an American basketball coach and former player who is the nineteenth and current head coach of Brigham Young University's (BYU) men's basketball team. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was part of the Wildcats 1996 championship team, and the Washington Huskies, where he was the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. He later played professionally in the National Basketball Association for the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets. Career Pope was a high school star at Newport High School in Bellevue, Washington and played two years at the University of Washington (UW). He earned Pac-10 Freshman of the Year honors in 1992 after setting a UW freshman single-season record with 8.1 rebounds per game.
