Jake Harvie
Jake Michael Harvie (born 5 March 1998) is an Australian field hockey player who plays as a defender for the Australian national team. He also is a Commonwealth Games gold medallist. Harvie was born in Dardanup, Western Australia, and made his senior international debut at the 2017 International Festival of Hockey in Bendigo, Australia. Harvie won his first major tournament with Australia at the 2016-17 Hockey World League Final in Bhubaneswar, India. The team defeated Argentina 2–1 in the final to win the tournament. Dardanup, Western Australia
Dardanup is a small town in the South West region of Western Australia. The town is in the fertile Ferguson valley and is near the Ferguson River. The first European settlement in the area was in 1852 by Thomas Little who named his property ''Dardanup Park''. The word "Dardanup" is believed to be a variation of the Indigenous Australian word ''Dudingup'', the meaning of which is unknown. Construction of the local agricultural hall commenced in 1893 by J. and H. Gibbs, who had submitted the lowest tender. The hall, constructed of jarrah and weatherboard, was opened in 1894 by H. W. Venn. The population of the area was 118 (81 males and 37 females) in 1898. 2022 Commonwealth Games
The 2022 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XXII Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Birmingham 2022, was an international multi-sport event for members of the Commonwealth of Nations that took place in Birmingham, England between 28 July and 8 August 2022. Birmingham was announced as host on 21 December 2017. Gordon Pearce
Gordon Charles Pearce (born 10 January 1934 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India) is an Indian-born Australian field hockey player who competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics, in the 1960 Summer Olympics, and in the 1968 Summer Olympics for Australia. 2016-17 Men's FIH Hockey World League Final
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA.
