Jakab Marastoni
Jakab Marastoni, originally Jacopo Antonio Marastoni (24 March 1804, Venice – 11 July 1860, Pest, Hungary, Pest) was an Italian-born Hungarian portrait painter and lithographer. Biography In 1830, he began his studies in Rome. In 1846, he created the ''Első Magyar Festészeti Akadémiát'' (First Hungarian Academy of Painting) which, as the name suggests, was the first school in Hungary devoted exclusively to painting. Honorary citizenship is a status bestowed by a city or other government on a foreign or native individual whom it considers to be especially admirable or otherwise worthy of the distinction. Daguerreotype (; french: daguerréotype) was the first publicly available photography, photographic process; it was widely used during the 1840s and 1850s. "Daguerreotype" also refers to an image created through this process.
