Jade Anderson
Jade Anderson is an English singer-songwriter, born in London as the youngest daughter of former Yes frontman Jon Anderson. After a childhood during which she met and performed with famous musicians, she moved out at age 16 to live with friends and work on her own music. In 2002, she released her debut and best-known single, " Sugarhigh," which drew critical praise and became a minor chart hit in the United States, peaking within the top 40 of that country's dance chart and giving Anderson her first Hot 100 entry. It also gave Anderson a top 100 hit in the Netherlands. Later that year, she released her debut studio album, ''Dive Deeper'', on Columbia Records, and toured to promote it. Deborah Leigh Anderson (born 16 December 1970) is an English musician, photographer, and film director. Her early music work was as a vocalist on her father Jon Anderson's albums. Her 1995 single "Feel the Sunshine" was her first song that charted, hitting the UK Dance and European Hot 100. She has also contributed vocals to a number of collaborative works with other recording artists. Her 2009 debut album ''Silence'' accompanied her photography book ''Paperthin'', a work featuring photos of actors and musicians. Her photography work was featured on albums by singer Pink, and in ''Cosmopolitan'', ''Vogue'' and other magazines. Her second photo book, ''Room 23'', featured her pictures of celebrities in a collaboration with Sanela Diana Jenkins. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. "Our Lips Are Sealed" is a song co-written by Jane Wiedlin, guitarist of the Go-Go's, and Terry Hall, singer of the Specials and Fun Boy Three. It was first recorded by the Go-Go's as the opening track on their album '' Beauty and the Beat'' (1981) and was their debut American single in June 1981. The single eventually reached the top 5 in Australia and Canada, and the top 20 in the United States.
