	Jadar (Drina) The Jadar ( sr-Cyrl, Јадар, ) is a river in western Serbia, 75 km long right tributary of the Drina river. The Jadar also gives the name to the Jadar (Serbia), Jadar region of western Serbia. Also, the mineral Jadarite is named after the river. River The Jadar originates from the southern slopes of the Vlašić (Serbian mountain), Vlašić mountain, northeast of the town of Valjevo, in the northeastern tip of the Podgorina region. Several streams flow south and join near the village of Osladić. Soon, at the village of Dragijevica, the Jadar turns sharply to the northwest, a general direction the river will follow until it meets the Drina. 	Drinjača Drinjača (Serbian Cyrillic: Дрињача) is a left tributary of the Drina in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It rises on the mountain of Konjuh (1,326 m) 15 km northeast of Kladanj at an elevation of about 1,000 m and ends after 87.5 km in the Drina, south of Zvornik. The catchment area covers 1,091 km². 	Jadar (Serbia) The Jadar (, ) region begins roughly at the Osečina and it is divided in two sub-regions: Upper Jadar (around Osečina), which is part of much larger region of Rađevina, and Lower Jadar, which is also part of another, larger region of Podrinje. Center of the Lower Jadar is the town of Loznica, which is not on the Jadar river, but some 10 km to the southwest. The region is located in the Jadar River valley, bordered by the mountains of Vlašić, Cer, Gučevo and Sokolska planina. Lower Jadar is a low, agricultural area, while the Upper Jadar was an important mining region (antimony mines of Zavlaka and Bela Crkva). In August 1914, during World War I, a major battle between the Austro-Hungarian and Serbian army took place on the river. The Serbs defeated the Austrians. 	Jadar (mineral) Jadarite is a white, earthy monoclinic silicate mineral, sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide ( Li Na Si B3 O7( OH) or Na2OLi2O(SiO2)2(B2O3)3H2O). Discovery and classification Jadarite was discovered in December 2004, in drill core from the Jadar Valley ( sr, Јадар, Jadar, pronounced /jadaɾ/) in Serbia, from which it is named. The find was located southwest of the Cer mountain. Findings were originally located in the villages of Jarebice and Slatina and later in Draginac. Exploration geologists from Rio Tinto Exploration discovered the mineral as small rounded nodules in drill core, and were unable to match it with previously known minerals.
