Jacob Duffy
Jacob Duffy (born 2 August 1994) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Otago. Duffy made his senior debut in an HRV Cup match against Northern Districts in January 2012. He made his international debut for the New Zealand cricket team in December 2020. Duffy was born at Lumsden in the Southland Region and was educated at Southland Boys' High School in Invercargill. Career Duffy was the joint-leading wicket-taker in the 2017–18 Plunket Shield season for Otago, with 29 dismissals in eight matches. In June 2018, he was awarded a contract with Otago for the 2018–19 season. He was the leading wicket-taker for Otago in the 2018–19 Ford Trophy, with 25 dismissals in eleven matches. He was the joint-leading wicket-taker for Otago in the 2018–19 Super Smash, with thirteen dismissals in nine matches. Lumsden, New Zealand
Lumsden ( mi, Ōreti) is a town in Southland, New Zealand. Lying in a gap in the surrounding hills, Lumsden is the location of a major junction on state highway six. Lumsden is 81 kilometres north of Invercargill, 106 kilometres south of Queenstown, 59 kilometres west of Gore and 77 kilometres east of Te Anau. History Originally the district in general was known as The Elbow. When this name was given to the then new railway station, residents of Castlerock, then also known as The Elbow and on the opposite bank of the Ōreti River, brought the matter to George Lumsden of the Otago Provincial Council. Invercargill
Invercargill ( , mi, Waihōpai is the southernmost and westernmost city in New Zealand, and one of the southernmost cities in the world. It is the commercial centre of the Southland region. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams.
