Jacob Circle Monorail Station
Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk, is a monorail station and the southernmost terminus of the Mumbai Monorail, serving the area of Mahalaxmi and Byculla in South Mumbai. It was inaugurated on 3 March 2019 by Piyush Goyal the then,Railway Minister and Devendra Fadnavis the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The station is located in the Vicinity of Arthur Road Jail, it is in close proximity to Mahalaxmi railway station, Chinchpokli railway station and Byculla railway station, Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The Dagdi Chawl can be accessed through this station. St. Ignatius High School is the only school located in its vicinity along with Kasturbha Gandhi Hospital. Monorail
A monorail (from "mono", meaning "one", and "rail") is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail or a beam. Colloquially, the term "monorail" is often used to describe any form of elevated rail or people mover. Mahalaxmi Racecourse
The Mahalaxmi Racecourse is a horse racing track in Mahalaxmi neighbourhood of Mumbai. The track is oval shaped with straight chute, spread over approximately of open land in the heart of Mumbai city. It was created out of a marshy land known as Mahalakshmi Flats. Built in 1883 and modelled on the Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne, it is spread over land facing the sea. The racecourse was originally donated by Sir Cusrow N Wadia and today it is on lease from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) to Royal Western India Turf Club which runs the racecourse. Byculla (station code: BY) is railway station on the Central line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is located in the neighbourhood of Byculla. The station is a Grade-I heritage structure.
