''Jackyl'' is the debut album by American rock band Jackyl. It was released on August 11, 1992, on Geffen. Background The record's clean issuance omits "She Loves My Cock." Likewise, on the cover art of edited versions, the "Parental Advisory" logo in the background is altered to say "Meaty bones beware of Jackyl." Music videos were made for the tracks "The Lumberjack" (featuring the band performing at a wooded shack, complete with the chainsaw solo), "I Stand Alone" (featuring the band performing in front of a K-Mart as a protest for the store refusing to sell their album), "Down On Me", "Dirty Little Mind", "When Will It Rain" and "Back Off Brother". Jackyl is an American rock band formed in 1991. Their sound has also been described as heavy metal and southern metal. Their self-titled debut album has sold more than a million copies in the United States with hit singles like "Down on Me" and "When Will It Rain". Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Glam Metal
Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. ''Push Comes to Shove'' is the second album by the American hard rock band Jackyl, released in 1994. It peaked at No. 46 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The title track peaked at No. 7 on ''Billboards Album Rock Tracks chart and No. 90 on the UK Singles Chart. The band supported the album by playing Woodstock '94 and touring with ZZ Top and Aerosmith. Mike Fraser was nominated for a Juno Award, in the "Recording Engineer of the Year" category. Production Recorded in Vancouver, the album was produced by Bruce Fairbairn. The band once again used a chainsaw as a musical instrument. Frontman Jesse James Dupree made an attempt to modify the screechiness of his vocals. Photos of Dupree's handlebar mustache were initially altered by the record company. Advisory (abbreviated PAL) is a warning label introduced by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 1985 and adopted by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in 2011. Jesse James Dupree (born Jesse Dupree; September 22, 1962) is an American musician, television personality, and businessman. He is the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter in the rock band Jackyl, founded in 1991. As a solo performer, he released albums in 2000 and 2008 under the names of "Jesse James Dupree" and "Jesse James Dupree & Dixie Inc.", respectively. In 2007, Dupree founded Mighty Loud Entertainment, a record label and artist management and marketing company.
